Abstract: The new neutron reflectometer REFSANS is being designed for investigating surfaces and phase interfaces of liquid and soft samples, it is especially designed to offer new perspectives for characterising lateral heterogeneities. REFSANS is expected to go into operation at the new research reactor FRM-II in 2001.
