Munich : Technical University of Munich (TUM) 244 p () = Dissertation, Technical University of Munich (TUM), 2026

Abstract: This thesis examines ternary UMoX alloys (X = Zr, Pt, Nb, Ti, W) as alternative research reactor fuel candidates. Microstructure, solubility, γ-phase stability and Al interdiffusion were analyzed under thermal and irradiation conditions. Zr, Nb, and Pt provide clear advantages over binary UMo/Al, most effectively suppressing IDL growth and stabilizing the fuel matrix.
