Design of a Helium Purier

Abstract: A rst design for a Helium purier is made. Demanded is a cleaning rate of 2 g/swhich is needed for the PENELOPE experiment. The setup has four stages. Twoadsorption and two condensation stages are planned. A concept and a CAD drawingof the two condensation stages are made. The setup is simulated with the programSimulink. The thermodynamic calculations are compared with the simulation forthe heat exchangers.
