30th annual meeting of the German Crystallographic Society (DGK), Ludwig Maximilians Universität München + onlineLudwig Maximilians Universität München + online, Germany + online, 14 Mar 2022 - 17 Mar 20222022-03-142022-03-17
The availability of pressure devices adapted tothe experimental demands (intended pressure, probing method, instrumental environment, etc.)is the fundamental requirement for the study ofhigh-pressure effects on any material property. Our work presents the development of highpressure cells for neutron scattering onpolycrystalline and single-crystalline samples atlow temperatures and with applied magneticfields. In the most common type of device used for high-pressure neutron experiments, the clamp cell[1], the pressure is applied ex situ, allowing its independent and versatile use in various setups. Our clamp cell design has been specifically developed for neutron scattering experiments at lowtemperatures in the closed-cycle cryostats on the instruments DNS (diffuse scattering neutronspectrometer), MIRA (cold three axes spectrometer), and POLI (polarized hot neutrondiffractometer) at the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum (MLZ) in Garching, Germany [2]. Thecompact monobloc cell is available in two variants, a CuBe alloy and a NiCrAl “Russian Alloy”one, working up to about 1.1 GPa and 1.5 GPa, respectively. [...]

Inverse proximity effects in superconductor/ferromagnet heterostructures: a study by GISANS with polarization analysis
13th international Polarized Neutrons for Condensed-Matter Investigations, PNCMI, online eventonline event, online event, 27 Jul 2021 - 30 Jul 20212021-07-272021-07-30
Proximity effects in superconductor(S)/ferromagnet(F) heterostructures with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy can manifest in various forms such as domain-wall-superconductivity [1] and the generation of long-ranged spin-triplet Cooper pairs [2]. Understanding the origin of such phenomena is the key for an application in fluxonic devices and in spintronics, respectively [3, 4]. [...]

Proximity effects in superconductor/ferromagnet thin film heterostructures are ahighly topical issue due to their potential application in superconducting spin valvesor fluxonic devices [1, 2]. Physical properties can be controlled by an appliedmagnetic field and emerge for example as stray-field generated domainsuperconductivityor spin-triplet correlations. [...]

Chiral anomaly and anomalous Hall effect in Hexagonal-Mn3+δGe
IOP Magnetism 2021, online eventonline event, online event, 12 Apr 2021 - 13 Apr 20212021-04-122021-04-13
Chiral anomaly and anomalous Hall effect in Hexagonal-Mn3+δGeTopological quantum materials have attracted enormous attention since their discovery due to the observedanomalous transport properties, which originate from the non-zero Berry curvature. Mn3+δGe has gainedspecial attention because of its large anomalous transport effects that persist starting from Néel temperature(365 K) down to 2 K [1] [...]

Production of monolithic UMo plates for the EMPIrE irradiation experiment
RERTR 2016, AntwerpAntwerp, Belgium, 23 Oct 2016 - 27 Oct 20162016-10-232016-10-27
The EMPIrE irradiation experiment, taking place in ATR in 2017, is an important step in the comprehension of fabrication and irradiation behavior of dispersion and monolithic UMo fuel. In the part concerning monolithic fuel, focus lies on verification of the fabrication techniques for the Zr TUM PVD coating and the cladding application using the C2TWP process of AREVA NP.The developments with inert material showed that both processes, advanced PVD and C2TWP, conveniently allow fabricating monolithic plates. [...]
